Biography
Stephen Harrington is a government affairs and external relations executive with fifteen years of experience driving outcomes at Fortune 100 companies, influential trade associations, and elected officials. His mix of private/public sector experience, uniquely position him to identify opportunities for alignment on critical issues across various stakeholders, including industry, consumer groups, policymakers, and philanthropy.
Stephen currently leads government affairs at the Comptroller of Maryland. He has served in leadership roles at JPMorgan Chase & Co., Rocket Companies, and Greater Washington Partnership. His efforts have been recognized by the Center for American Progress, the National Housing Conference, the Urban Land Institute, and the Greater Washington Community Foundation.
He holds an MPP in urban economics from Brown University and a BA from Morehouse College.
At any given moment he is tweaking a playlist or reading his kindle during a zoom meting. He lives in South Laurel with his wife, Michelle.
