This is my blog, where I discuss policy, politics, and culture. I named it after the influential Ways and Means Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. In the broadest sense, this committee is responsible for finding the revenue and policies necessary for the government to conduct much of its day-to-day business. My hope is that  the blog provides new or refined ways of thinking for its readers and prompts them to make changes in the way they  interact with the world.
